Road Freights Operation Proceedures.

Trailing Point Switch Moves:

​All Road Freights deliver and Pickup Cars using                             trailing point switch moves.

Station Stops:

Are the stops, a Train will Deliver and or Pick up Cars.  Not all trains have the same Station Stops

On each train holder is a listing of Station Stopsfor that train. 

At each Station listed the train will Stop and check the WayBill Card in the Holder and the trackside card box to verify what their train is to do.

Locals - Return to Departure Yard

Industrial Switchers - Defined Jobs

Manifests Freights N/S   NO Stops

Road Freights - Scheduled Stops

Unit Trains - Specific Destinations

Work Trains - Defined work Areas

Engine Light Moves

Top Example shows which tracks the South Bound train can Deliver to or Pick up - All 5 tracks are accessible

Lower Example shows only track 1 and 2 are accessable to the North Bound trains for Dellivery or picking up cars

​If no track or cars can be reached then the delivery of cars must be OFF SPOTTED at the nearest location with trailing points switching.
